Anticipation is high for tomorrow's show jumping World Cup finals in Omaha

42 show jumpers from 19 nations will compete at the World Cup Final. Edouard Schmitz, current No. 31 in the world and No. 2 in the U-25 rankings, is the second youngest competitor. He is competing in the World Cup Final with his Belgian gelding, Gamin with whom he won his first 5-star competition last year, the Grand Prix of the CSIO5* of Dublin.

The field of young guns is led by Britain's Harry Charles, the current No. 16 in the world rankings and No. 1 in the U-25 rankings. The youngest participant is 19 years old and comes from the USA, Elisa Broz. At the other end of the age scale is Edouard Schmitz's Swiss teammate, Pius Schwizer. The 61-year-old veteran will compete with Vancouver de Lanlore in the final of the best show jumpers. 18 riders from the Western Europe FEI group were able to secure a place in Omaha. Germany provides the largest contingent of nations from the Western Europe League. From Switzerland, the defending champion and current world No. 2, Martin Fuchs, is seeded alongside veteran Pius Schwizer and this season's rising star, Edouard Schmitz.

While the CHI Health Center's main arena was converted into an Olympic-standard swimming pool for the U.S. Olympic Games, transforming it into a world-class equestrian facility is a real challenge for the center's team. In addition to creating a competition arena in the stadium, a stabling area and warm-up area were created in the adjacent convention center, bringing all elements of this event under one roof.
