2022 Edouard Schmitz won the Grand Prix at the five-star CSIO in Dublin. The Geneva rider thus celebrated the first victory in a five-star competition of his still young career. The Geneva rider prevailed on Gamin van't Naastveldhof in a jump-off ahead of the two Irish riders Conor Swail (on Count Me In) and Shane Sweetnam (on James Kann Cruz).

Edouard has already celebrated numerous successes in his young career. After being named Rookie of the Year in 2021, he took off internationally in 2022 and followed this up seamlessly in 2023.

At 23 years old, Edouard Schmitz was the youngest member of the recent - Irish-Swiss - Miami Celtics team that won the €1.5 million winner's prize in the Super Cup Final of the Show Jumping Global Champions League in Prague in November 2022.
