The 23-year-old Edouard Schmitz is one of the most promising young show jumpers in Switzerland. The Geneva native, who is studying computer science at the University of Zurich alongside his career as a rider, is ranked 29th in the Longines World Ranking as of the end of September, together with his role model, Olympic champion Steve Guerdat, as the second best Swiss rider in the ranking.
