focus ahead of competition

After a stellar season marked by triumphant victories in St. Gallen, Aachen, and Dublin, expectations were sky-high for the Swiss team at the European Championships in Milan. However, the moment's pressure seemed to get the better of them. They fell just short of the podium and were a mere miss away from securing the bronze medal. Yet, despite the disappointment, there was a significant silver lining. By securing 6th place, the team validated their 2024 Paris Olympic Games ticket.

For Edouard Schmitz, and his outstanding horse Gamin van't Naasveldhof, this Championship was a mix of emotions. Although they couldn't consistently replicate their top performances from the season, a major personal milestone was on the horizon - the qualification for the 2024 Olympics.
