How did you spend your holidays? You were competing until the end of the year. Did you even get a few days off?
The holidays are always a wonderful time, even if they feel short. Spending a few days with my family motivates me for the upcoming shows.
What does your horse situation look like this year. Any updates to share?
This year, there are some exciting new developments in my stable. Since mid/end of the year, Abdul-Jabbar and Be Hippy have been in the stable. Two highly talented, 9-year-old horses. I have a good group of younger horses with whom we can hardly wait to start the year. Continuous work and training with them are central to my daily routine.
You've been a soldier for a few weeks now. How do you like this new everyday life and have you already made a few new friends?
Basel marks the start of an intense year for you. How do you feel when you travel to the CHI and what significance does the tournament have for you?
Last year, one of the main goals was preparing for 2024. My team and I worked hard to get everything in position for next summer. Basel is always an important show for us. On the one hand, because we ride in front of the Swiss public; on the other hand, it allows us to analyze and solidify our position/progress after last year's preparation.
When would you call the weekend a success?
A successful weekend would be if my horses and I gave our best and performed strongly. Of course, a placement in the World Cup with Quno would be a wonderful crowning of the weekend.
